Now that's a "Compact-ed" Car !

A little fender bender the other night. Just shows how much damage can occur between two lightweight vehicles. I'm pointing out the major damage to one vehicle while Lowell is checking out the interior of the car.

Right pedal gas...left pedal brake

Oops, this guy got a little mixed up with the pedals on his car. While in his garage, he accidently pressed the wrong pedal and you can see here what happened. A bit of a watery mess in the house from the water heater.

"Taking a Bite out of Crime"

Here is "Rock" with his new canine companion, "Fifi". I know, she doesn't look very intimidating but once she bites on to your ankle she just won't let go! The citizens of the Wynizzle can rest assured that while "Rock" and his partner are on duty, they can feel safe and sound!

"Los Tres Amigos"

Here is our crew, John, Lowell and Me out at the beach. It is hard to get a picture of the three of us so I took this "self group pic". You would have been able to see more of us if my arm were longer!

"Elvis is In The House"

Ok so it's not really Elvis, but Lowell was doing his best impression with these snazzy glasses at Mrs. Olson's! You can see why we have such a great time at work ... times may be crazy but our crew is always "Fun and Festive"!

The Wynema Spirit

Here we are at the Port of Heuneme. Our station is just a couple blocks from the port. Here they are loading and unloading everything from bananas to cars 24-7. One of the hardest working ships in the harbor is the Wynema Spirit, the tug that guides in all of the big ships.

You can get a perspective of the size of these ships that come in from looking at the pickup truck on the dock in the background. The tug may be small, but it sure does the job... it can parallel park these huge ships as if it were a VW ... super smooth. What always amazes me is how in the world do these HUGE ships float ... and I'm always told ... Displacement, Displacement, Displacement!!!

John is Always Working ........ Out !

Here is John on the treadmill getting his miles in for the day. I had a hard time taking his picture because he was running so fast! We all want to workout like John.
After his workout it is on to checking the equipment. Once a week we do a detailed check on the engine (a "B" check) to make sure that everything is working as it should. John is shown here in his jumpsuit checking out the pump. John, our dedicated Engineer, keeping himself and our engine fit!

Polynesian Festival

It's all in a days work! In our sector, they had a Polynesian Festival so when we were out and about we stopped by to check it out. There were lots of booths with vendors selling everything
from jewelry to "slippers". This woman in the pic gave us each a
plumeria flower. She had beautiful flowers
and amazing original artwork. Our Captain for the day was Cruz. Here he is with John in front of the venue. Inside, they had dancers so we took a quick peek! Looked like everyone was having a great time!

New Album

This is a picture of the recently released album of Hula chants that Lowell has produced in conjunction with Daniel Ho and Dr. Amy Stillman. It is a complete series of ancient chants that was originally produced in 1893 in Hawaii for King David Lalakaua. It is being released in Borders, 26 Japanese outlets and itunes in October 2006. Check it out!!! Live Aloha!

Lifeguard Posers

Check out Lowell and John, yes, our station is near the beach so we do "beach checks"! They wanted to get a birds eye view and get the "Lifeguard feel" so they climbed up onto the lifeguard tower. I asked them to pose and here is what I got ... What do you think?... definitely model material!!

Our Favorite Place to Eat

Everywhere I go I seem to be taking my camera. Now when this blog started it was being written in third person but now it will change and I will be writing it from my (Mo's) point of view! This is Mrs. Olson's Coffee Hut. We just love this place, not only for the great food but it is just a "fun and festive" place to "meet and greet"!!

Here we are with Tony our Capt. for the day. We wanted him to have the Mrs. Olson's experience.
I had John pose outside of the place so you could get the cozy view of the front... and of course I had to take a picture of our "Chaquita" who was our server for the morning. So far we haven't had to rush out to a call, but I'm sure it's bound to happen.
