Bot Dots

Bot Dots are the little blue reflective markers that are placed in the street to mark where fire
hydrants are located. In the picture with the fire hydrant I put the bot dot right next to the hydrant so that you could see the size of the dot. They are really not that big yet they have to endure lots of traffic and abuse. We check hydrants yearly to make sure that access is clear for us in addition to making sure that the dots are still in place. Here is the caulking gun with the liquid nails that we use to glue the dots to the street.

We place the dot, usually somewhere near the middle of the street so that traffic from either direction can see the dot. Here is Lowell pressing the dot down on the street.
